Casual atmosphere. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Really liked the blood sausage with apple butter. Smoked sturgeon and salmon platter was a great starter. The game then was cooked perfectly with crispy skin. Finished with the chocolate cake which was moist and dark chocolate

This spot is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very chummy and the cuisine they cook is so fresh and tasty. I am always happy to have a decent dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

This new place is already a fave. Had such a good time with the staff from start to finish. Amazing spinach dip with fried bread, lovely feta stuffed merguez meatballs, and delicious desserts. We really indulged ourselves and had a great time. Reservations recommended.

Delicious potato and cabbage pierogi although $15 for 3 pierogi is definitely steep!

Friendly service. Unique dishes offered on menu with a similarly unique wine list.

Delicious top to bottom. Great portions to try lots of different things if you're in a group. Gems with Russian dressing might be my favorite salad. House made sausages are delicious.

A solid 4 stars from me. Staff were all super friendly and patient describing the menu and drinks. A few unique wine selections at least for me. The look of the food menu didn’t wow me, however the taste of all their smaller dishes were all taste bombs. I wasn’t as impressed with their bigger entree dishes. Definitely would return for the dips and langos.

We were worried this place was over hyped, but it ended up meeting expectations! All dishes were prepared well. Nothing was overcooked, and the flavors were interesting / memorable. We ordered the kielbasa sausage, pork and beef cabbage, langos, grilled broccoli, and pork jowl/chicken meatballs. The meatballs were outstanding. I'd skip the grilled broccoli next time

I tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am hooked since then. I loved the fantastic vibes and flavorful food and drinks. 5 stars from me.

You cannot match the sauces of this restaurant. Their meatball sauce has sour cream as its base I think with brown gravy mixed. It's velvety and rich. Their kasha & potato dumplings = spectacular.

A truly unique dining experience - foods and flavour combos I hadn't tried before. Cocktails whose ingredients were totally new to me. And the best service, considering I was there with a party of around 12!

Interesting, everything is well made and prepared. It's just that, I don't know, at the end it feels like an ok meal. Really good. Not great.

One of the best meals I've had in quite a while. We started with the smoked seafood, then lángos and perogies with borscht, and finally the lamb plate. Every part of our dinner was outstanding, but the standout course for me was the perogies and borscht. I'm a borscht lover, and this was one of the best I've ever had. Our waitress recommended accompanying the borscht with lángos, and she was not wrong. We'll be back for sure!

Finally a unique new restaurant in SF. Not your typical California cuisine. And the cocktails...Holy Mother! We'll be going back for many more amazing experiences.

Given how popular this place is, I feel late to the party on discovering it. All the food here was amazing. We loved every dish we tried: the kielbasa, the potato dumplings, the lamb meatballs, and the stuffed cabbage. The stuffed cabbage was phenomenal and our very favorite dish. We also got not one but TWO orders of the langos (fluffy bread-pudding-esque bread) because our lovely server helpfully told us it was great with sauce and she was absolutely correct. We skipped dessert because of our gluttony, but we will definitely be back another time to try it.

Came by on double date. I was a little hesitant cause I'm not a big fan of eastern European for but this place is yummy! super cute restaurant with delicious food and wine.

Deliciousness and excellent service in a beautiful and comfortable space. The blood sausage was a show stopper as well as the meatballs. Thank you Inga!

Absolutely delicious. Big portions have returned to modern, foodie eatery

Absolutely great restaurant. We had to wait 25 mins for our “reserved†table, and the service was on the slower side. But frankly it was all worth the wait because the food was great and the setting of the restaurant is beautiful. Try to get a window table if you can, and be sure to get the chocolate fudge cake. It’s superb. Oh and the drinks are surprisingly good!

Dear Inga has some interesting, unconventional dishes you may not be able to find anywhere around the city. However, the price performance and taste level of the food is a little inconsistent. The bratwurst was a little weak on flavors, but the kielbasa was very flavorful. Same goes for the rest of the dishes we tried, some were great and some were a little weak.

The atmosphere of this place is clean and fresh with a large communal table in the center and more private smaller tables on the side. The bar stands out because of the marble and eclectic cocktails. It is a small cozy place but eight chefs are doing their magic in the open kitchen with a frenzy. We started off with the cheese dip which came with roasted eggplant and a walnut pesto and fried langos. We shared the bratwurst and kielbasa both house made and smoked to perfection. They came with pickled vegetables that were a perfect foil for their richness. My friend was pleased with her grilled cod with sorrel sauce and my grilled culotte steak done medium rare with a tasty green garlic yogurt sauce spot on.

Highly recommend the kasha and potato dumplings and the stuffed cabbage.

We had my birthday dinner here last night and every dish was well executed. The staff was super attentive and handled the full restaurant with ease. Awesome lighting and overall aesthetics to the space. Really good vibes all around. Highly recommend the whole rockfish with Sorrel, smoked fish plate and the fried potatoes. Obviously you cannot go wrong with the sausages. Their pastry chef is IMO one of the best in SF so save room for dessert. Be sure to check out the Georgian wines.

An absolutely wonderful experience! I have eaten well in eastern Europe before, but I did not recognize most of the things on the menu. This is because it seems to be more of an Eastern European/ California fusion. Every dish was good, our group's favorites were the meatballs, broccoli and lamb neck. I would say Dear Inga is worthy of 1 Michelin 🌟. We shall see what the future holds!

Great food, large portions, modern space. Good conversation and eats in an upscale yet very relaxed environment.

If you're looking for upscale, light and flavorful Russian and generally Eastern European kitchen - look no more. This place is an amazing example way to be introduced to things like - golubtsy (cabbage rolls with mean) and smelt under fur coat (though it's traditionally made with boiled beets, not fresh).Service was amazing and I will gladly recommend this place to any of my friends looking for an interesting spot in SF.
